Senior Club
The Illustrious Bar Association of Madrid established on 6 June 2019 the Senior Lawyers’ Club of Madrid, located in C/ Bravo Murillo, 377 (2nd floor). Its management has been entrusted to the Cortina Foundation whose purposes include promoting activities for members and their widow(er)s over 60 years.
The Senior Lawyers’ Club of Madrid will promote all kinds of activities such as conferences, literary presentations, courses, workshops, debate forums and other recreational and cultural activities, as well as collaboration with other institutions and social and/or cultural groups. Among the main activities we find:
- Books and debate
- Photography workshop
- Radio workshop
- Painting workshop
- Writing workshops
- Gastronomy and health workshop
- Digital culture
- Film club
- Sport activities
- Guided tours
Any member of the Association can participate with their suggestions, comments and/or interventions as well as promote, propose and/or develop, regardless of their age, activities that contribute to improving the quality of life of all.

The Board of Directors of the Senior Club is chaired by Ángela Cerrillos Valledor and has Javier Jiménez-Ugarte Hernández as secretary and Cristina Alberdi Alonso, Cristina Almeida Castro, Joaquín García-Romanillos Valverde and Antonio Garrigues Walker as members of the Board.

Reading Club – Book and Debate
Held at the Senior Space (C/Bravo Murillo nº 377 – 2nd floor):
- 6 de febrero, a las 18:00 horas: Tertulia sobre la obra “Misericordia”, de Benito Pérez Galdós, a cargo de su proponente José Javier Ballesteros Gómez
- 20 de febrero, a las 18:00 horas: Tertulia sobre el artículo de Adolfo Carretero Sánchez, juez de Instrucción, titulado “Algunas ideas sobre la Justicia en la literatura picaresca española”, con la presencia de su autor. Se adjunta a través de este enlace el artículo para la lectura previa
